How to download TikTok videos
TikTok includes a native Save video action for posts whose creators allow downloads. When that action is missing, it is a post setting rather than proof that your phone is broken.
Step by step
Open the video in TikTok
Use the individual video view so the Share controls apply to the exact post you want.
Tap Share, then Save video
When the creator permits downloads, TikTok displays Save video in the Share panel and saves the post to your device.
Copy the link when you need the URL
Use Copy link from the same Share panel when you need the public post address. Copying the URL does not save the video by itself.
Why Save video is sometimes missing
TikTok lets creators decide whether other people can download a post. Its official help states that if Save video is absent, the creator does not allow the download.
Private, restricted, removed or region-limited content can also behave differently and should not be treated as a public download source.
How to copy a clean TikTok link
Open the individual video and select Share › Copy link. Paste the full URL rather than only the caption text. A normal link usually points to a creator handle and a /video/ identifier, while mobile share links may use a short TikTok domain.
A profile, sound page or search page is not a single video URL and should not be treated as one.
Save video versus Copy link
Save video asks TikTok to store the media on your device. Copy link only places the public post address on your clipboard so it can be pasted elsewhere.
If you want the file immediately, use Save video when TikTok offers it. Keeping the link is useful for returning to the post, but it is not a backup of the media.
