How to download RedGIFs videos on iPhone
Safari can download a RedGIFs MP4 without a separate app. The part that often causes confusion is finding the file afterward: browser downloads normally appear in the Files app, not immediately in Photos.
Step by step
Copy the RedGIFs watch link
Open the individual video, use its share option or Safari address bar, and copy the complete redgifs.com/watch address.
Download in Safari
Open the RedGIFs downloader, paste the link and choose HD or SD. Confirm Safari’s download prompt if one appears.
Find the MP4 in Files
Open Files, tap Browse and open Downloads. Safari also shows a Downloads button near its address field while a recent download is available.
Why the video is not immediately in Photos
Safari treats an MP4 from the web as a downloaded file. Apple places web downloads in the Downloads folder inside Files, so not seeing the clip in Photos does not mean the download failed.
If you want a copy in Photos, open the MP4 in Files, tap Share and choose Save Video when iOS offers that action. Keep the Files copy until you have confirmed the video appears in Photos.
HD or SD on mobile
HD keeps the larger RedGIFs rendition and is the best choice when image detail matters. SD uses less storage and mobile data. Both are direct source files rather than browser conversions.
On a limited cellular plan, wait for Wi-Fi or choose SD. A large HD file can appear stuck while Safari is still transferring it in the background.
If Safari opens the video instead of saving it
Use the download control beside the result rather than pressing the preview. If Safari still opens a media tab, use the Share menu from that tab and choose Save to Files.
Also check that Safari is allowed to download files and that the iPhone has enough free storage for the selected rendition.
